Top Charts 23-05: Post COVID Longevity Landscape – Change in Trajectory or Step Change?
It is generally agreed that mortality data for 2020 and 2021 is not particularly useful for setting mortality assumptions for 2023 and beyond. However, it is also generally accepted that events since 2019 have had a negative effect on public health, due to factors such as long COVID, increased pressures on health systems and economic slowdown.
