The investigation run by the UK’s CMI into mortality experience for large self-administered pension schemes, pooling data from some of the largest pension plans in the UK.
The investigation began in 2002. In 2008 the CMI published the first set of standard tables, the SAPS S1 series tables, based on the data gathered under the investigation. S2 series tables and S3 series tables were subsequently released in 2014 and 2019 respectively.
