Non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) (epidemiology)

A term for social and behavioural interventions aimed at stopping the spread of an infectious disease.
NPIs can be used in conjunction with or in the absence of a vaccine or effective medication for a given disease. Some examples include social-distancing, quarantine and isolation.
