Club Vita has worked closely with the reinsurance industry to provide an indicative longevity swap price, called VitaHedge, within our regular reporting. Currently only available in the UK, but with a plan to roll out in Canada and the US.
The longevity swap market has become an increasingly common way for large pension plans to mitigate their longevity risk, and this solution is now becoming increasingly accessible to smaller plans. To help our members start to think about the potential cost and benefit of a longevity swap, Club Vita has partnered with a panel of reinsurers to provide an indicative longevity swap price within our reporting. This price is presented as a percentage of a plan’s funding valuation together with a set of risk metrics to put the price into context.
