Longevity trends
\lɔnˈʤɛvəti\ \trɛndz\
The changes to the longevity of individuals in a certain population over time.
Longevity trends have traditionally been referred to as improvements, allowing only for future reductions in mortality rates. However, a recent focus on different future scenarios for risk management purposes, together with drop offs in recent levels of improvements, have led to many now using the term trend; allowing for the possibility that longevity may not always improve.
