Heterogeneous

A term commonly used in statistics, meaning ‘containing diverse and different items’, or ‘displaying different characteristics'.

The world population, for example, is heterogeneous, being composed of different ages, genders, ethnic origin, lifestyles, etc. Broadly speaking, heterogeneous is the opposite of homogeneous.
